PFAG Hails Black Stars Victory Over Angola

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has commended the Senior National Team, The Black Stars for securing a hard-fought victory over Angola in Kumasi earlier today.

Our star-studded Stars rose above the credible challenge posed by the Palancas Negras of Angola thanks to Antoine Semenyo’s solitary strike at the packed Baba Yara Stadium.

This key win, earned on Coach Chris Hughton’s first outing as Black Stars head coach has shot Ghana into a commanding position atop the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers Group E standings with seven points, three ahead of Angola and Central African Republic with Madagascar bottom on one.

The PFAG, as mother body of all professional footballers in the country, is proud of the resilience and dedication showed by our Stars on the day, and wishes to encourage the entire team and technical bench to keep the focus on the upcoming return game in Luanda on Monday to ensure another victory which will edge the team even closer to sealing qualification to the 2023 African Cup of Nations slated for the Ivory Coast.

As always, the PFAG stands with the Black Stars as they soar to further successes.
