PFAG Partners GFA To Walk and Dine In Honour of Black Stars

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has continued in its efforts to garner greater support for the Black Stars ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup by partnering with the GFA to organise two hugely succesful events this past Saturday.

In the early hours of the day, top members of the PFAG including General Secretary Anthony Baffoe and President Samuel Osei Kuffuor were joined by the Sports Minister Honorable Mustapha Ussif, GFA President Kurt Okraku, and scores of the country’s football legends and football fans to embark on a health walk dubbed “The Walk With the Legends”.

The unprecedented and eagerly anticipated walk was held in a joyous and mirthful spirit right from the Ayi Mensah point of convergence all the way to the chequered flag at the Aburi Hills end point.

Among the notable hikers on the day were GFA Vice President Mark Addo, Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Kwesi Agyemang and PFAG Player Relations Boss Yussif Chibsah.

The impressive turn-out of legends included Asamoah Gyan, Derek Boateng, Augustine Arhinful, Isaac Vorsah, Sam Johnson, Peter Ofori-Quaye Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu and Prince Tagoe among many others.

Later that evening, an exquisite dinner tagged the “Legends Dinner” was held at the East Legon Event Centre in Accra.

The ceremony was again well patronised by invited dignitaries and stakeholders and was highlighted by various messages of motivation and encouragement for the Black Stars as well as audio-visual presentations and documentaries to grace the night in honour of our gallant Stars ahead of their impending assignment to do the nation proud at the upcoming Mundial.

As mother body of all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG continues to be involved in all activities aimed at whipping up greater enthusiasm for the Senior National Team ahead of our fourth appearance on the world’s grandest football stage where we are billed to cross swords with Portugal, Uruguay, South Korea.

The PFAG will continue to stand with our Black Stars, and for our Black Stars!
