The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana has reiterated its calls for continued unity on the Ghana football front, after the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) passed its landmark ruling last week on the case lodged against the GFA by football administrator Wilfred Osei “Palmer”.
The Global Sports adjudicating body, CAS, ruled to uphold the decision of the GFA Election Committee to disqualify the founder of Tema Youth FC from contesting in the 2019 GFA Presidential Election.
This ruling thus confirms the status quo remains, with the GFA continuing under the stewardship of president Kurt Okraku.
The PFAG encourages a unanimous united stance from all stakeholders to accept the verdict from CAS in good faith, and put all hands to the pump in our on-going efforts at further developing football on the domestic scene.
The Association firmly believes that together, we can all help achieve our collective goal to move football in the country ever forward.
The PFAG continues to stand with the players, and for the players!
