John Antwi Racks Up Century of Goals in Egypt

Prolific Ghanaian striker, John Antwi, has further etched his name into Egyptian football record books by becoming the first foreigner based in the land of the Sphinx and Pyramids to notch up 100 top-flight goals.

Antwi achieved the enviable feat when he netted in his side FC Pyramid’s latest league fixture against rivals El Gouna.

The 28-year-old quicksilver marksman has now notched up 102 goals in total for Egyptian clubs, with 74 goals in the Egyptian Premier League and a further 28 goals scored in other competitions including the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League.

The former Eleven Wise and Dreams FC striker has now hit the back of the net on 16 occasions for FC Pyramids since his transfer from Misr El Makasa last year.

His enviable feat was duly recognized officially on Sunday by his club during training ahead of their next league clash against Haras El-Hodood.

The PFAG extends its warm felicitations to the red-hot Antwi. The Association encourages him to continue to excel. We remain confident that with hard work and dedication, the next remarkable feat is well within grasp.
