The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has extended its hearty congratulations to newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions, Gold Stars FC as the curtains came down on the 2024/25 League season this past weekend.

 

The Bibiani based outfit etched their names into the history books with a commanding 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on an action-packed final day of the season on Sunday.

The impressive victory was even more significant as it secured an unassailable a three-point cushion for the log leaders to bring a historic and successful season to a triumphant close.

 

It marks a meteoric rise for a side that only gained promotion to Ghana’s top flight in 2021, but have exhibited their best abilities to earn themeselves an enviable ticket to represent Ghana on the continental stage and bring international football to the Dun’s Park for the first time ever.

 

The PFAG, as mother body for all professional footballers in the country, congratulates stakeholders, organizers, technical teams and fans for a successful end to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

We reserve special commendation for all players of the various clubs who held their own over the course of this demanding season. We are indeed proud of the professionalism and excellent performances displayed by all our members, who remain the central figures in the sport we all love on the domestic scene.
