The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has extended its best wishes to the country’s Olympic Football team, the Black Meteors, as the much anticipated African Under-23 Nations Cup commences in Morocco this weekend.

The Black Meteors, under the tutelage of Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko are poised to conquer all competitors doing battle at the tournament and seal their spot at the 2024 Olympic Games slated for Paris, France.
As mother body of all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG has stood firmly with the Meteors on their impressive run to the Morocco 2023 AFCON U-23 showpiece.

We have been there every step of the way as the Team marched on to secure a second consecutive appearance at the continental event, and rounded up preparations with a morale-boosting set of games to get in tune for the tournament.

As the big kickoff looms ever closer, the PFAG is confident that our gallant warriors will once again prove themselves worthy as they shine bright on the pitch to make the nation proud.

We wish the technical team and playing body the very best as they begin their journey to assured victory in far away Rabat.

Our Brilliant Black Meteors, we wish you well!!

As always, the PFAG will lead the chants, prayers and well wishes with all other Ghanaians!!

We continue to stand with you and for you with every kick, every tackle, every goal and every victory at the U-23 AFCON, Morocco 2023!!
