The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has welcomed the official headline sponsorship agreements secured by the Ghana Football Association for the Ghana Premier League and the Women’s Premier League.
The GFA this past week announced online betting company betPawa as the official headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League for the next three seasons.
The sponsorship deal has been valued at six million dollars, and will no doubt go a long way to improve the state of football locally for our members, the professional players.
The Association and our members look forward to ushering in this new dawn come the start of the 2022/2023 league season in September.
This welcome announcement was promptly followed by further great news with the unveiling of Malta Guinness as the main sponsors of the Women’s Premier League over the next three years.
The PFAG is additionally pleased that the exploits of our female members will be highlighted by virtue of this injection of funds and attention by Guinness Ghana Limited.
The PFAG views these partnerships as a solid step towards ensuring proper marketing of our domestic top flight leagues in a bid to rank them among the most attractive on the continent. It will also serve as further motivation to our members to continue to give off their very best on the football pitch and thrill all stakeholders across the length and bredth of the country.
