The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has expressed its unwavering belief in Ghana’s ability to secure qualification to the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022. This latest endorsement comes after the senior national team, The Black Stars, were drawn against age-old rivals The Super Eagles of Nigeria in the draw for the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In what has been described as the most mouth-watering of the five match-ups from the draw held in Yaounde, the Black Stars will host the Super Eagles for the first leg of the play-offs in March with the return leg in Abuja.
While Nigeria accounted for Liberia, Cape Verde and the Central African Republic en-route to this phase of the qualification process, Ghana prevailed over Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Ghana boasts of a superior head-to-head record in encounters between these two fierce West African rivals, and the PFAG is confident in the ability of our gallant Stars to surmount any challenge and punch the sole ticket on offer to the Qatar 2022 Mundial.
Through thick and thin, the PFAG stands with them and for them!
