SANDRA OWUSU INSPIRES BLACK QUEENS TO BEAT THEIR MOROCCANS COUNTERPARTS IN ACCRA

Ghana’s senior national women’s team, the Black Queens beat the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco again in the second leg of their international friendly match today at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Queens on Thursday beat the Moroccan senior women’s team 3-1 in their first leg encounter.

 

Former U20 captain and Supreme ladies striker, Sandra Owusu Ansah who has been out for a while due to an injury returns to the squad with a brace .

She gave the Queens the lead in the 10th and 14th minute to register her brace.

 

The Black Queens dominated the game but could not score more goals with efforts from captain, Elizabeth Addo in the 68th and 76th minutes.

The Black Queens won the friendly encounter 5:1 on aggregate with Prison Ladies midfielder, Juliet Acheampong receiving the best player award.

 

The Moroccans won the fair play award and the Black Queens were the overall winners for putting up splendid performances in both games.

The friendly games form part of the two teams preparations towards their assignments in 2021.
