PFAG Commends Stakeholders for Supporting Women’s Premier League Players

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has noted with great satisfaction the landmark initiative spearheaded by the Ghana Football Association, Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Employment Agency to enrol players in the Women’s Premier League on the YEA programme.

 

The landmark decision was taken by the Executive Council of the GFA on Tuesday June 30th.

 

Five hundred individuals have been earmarked as beneficiaries; comprising of 30 registered players each from the 16 Women’s Premier League clubs, and 20 others in the league.
Beginning July 2020, each eligible person will be paid 500GHc as a monthly allowance till the end of the year.

 

As mother body for all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG commends leadership of the Ghana Football Association, National Sports Authority and the Youth Employment Agency for signing this ground-breaking Memorandum of Understanding to kick-start the programme.

 

As a key stakeholder in the field, the PFAG will continue to offer its support to all programmes aimed at improving our beautiful game for the betterment of all professional footballers.
