The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has received with deep shock and misery, the news of the untimely passing of Berekum Chelsea FC player Dominic Frimpong.

 

According to reports, Dominic Frimpong lost his life following an armed robbery attack on the team while returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture. This tragic incident has cast a dark cloud over the entire nation, and comes as a terrible shock to all members of the PFAG.

 

As mother body for all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG extends its sincere condolences to the bereaved family, his teammates, technical handlers, management of Berekum Chelsea, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.

 

The passing of Dominic Frimpong represents a significant loss to us all and we urge the Ghana Police Service to ensure a thorough and expedited process to bring those responsible to justice.
