The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has congratulated the senior women’s team, the Black Queens on their thrilling lone goal victory over the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal in Dakar.
The pulsating friendly encounter was decided by Evelyn Badu’s powerful header off a pin-point assist from Princess Marfo in the first half.
The PFAG hails the great performance, sheer determination and admirable resilience shown by our Queens in taking down their hostesses at the Stade Lat-Dior.
This is especially more impressive against the background of our gallant Queens playing with a numerical disadvantage for a large period of the game after Anastasia Achiaa was red carded.
The Association views today’s victory as a positive marker for the Team in their preparations for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Tournament.
The PFAG wishes new manager Kim Lars Bjorkegren and his talented charges all the best.
As always, the PFAG stands with and for our Black Queens on the road to Morocco 2025 and beyond!
