The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) is set for a busy and memorable end to the year with a list of noteworthy events scheduled to round off what has been a highly productive year 2024.
The PFAG, as mother union for all professional footballers in the country has chalked various successes as we continue to champion the rights and celebrate the achievements of our members as they fly the flag of our dear nation domestically and on foreign shores.
With barely two weeks to conclude the calendar year, the PFAG still has a number of important dates penciled in for various events as follows:
2024 CAF Awards Night
On Monday the 16th of December 2024, the PFAG will be in attendance as the stars of African football converge at the Palais des Congres in Marrakech, Morocco.
Africa’s leading football personalities will be honoring the continent’s best performers over the past year including Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Best Goal of the Year at an event which will offer the key personalities in African football the platform to connect and interact for the betterment of football on the continent.
PFAG Meeting With Ex-Players
The PFAG will hold a meeting with former players on the 18th of December, 2024 to deepen ongoing deliberations on improving the football landscape for all Ghanaian professional players.
This meeting will be the latest in a series of key stakeholder interactions involving the PFAG, and will no doubt offer the opportunity for fruitful deliberations focusing on player welfare, capacity building and career guidance among others.
Ghana Black Galaxies take on Nigeria in 2025 CHAN Qualifying Game
The Black Galaxies will lock horns with their Nigerian counterparts in a two-legged tie to determine which team will qualify for the 2025 CHAN Tournament slated for Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
As mother body for all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG will be heavily involved in preparing our players for the mighty tussle ahead under the tutelage of experienced head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
PFAG Annual General Congress
The PFAG will host its much anticipated Annual General Congress on the 23rd of December, 2024.
Congress is a yearly event that brings together membership of the country’s players union to highlight the PFAG’s achievements in leading positive reforms for the players.
Congress also affords an opportunity to deliberate on pertinent issues affecting the players, as the PFAG continues to deliver on its mandate of protecting the rights, representing the views, unveiling new initiatives and providing various services for the wellbeing of our members.
It is our firm belief that these afore-listed events will help to further entrench the role of the PFAG as the players representatives in the advancement of football in the country.
