PFAG Expresses Solidarity As Black Stars Technical Team Emerge Safely After Road Accident

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has extended its support and well wishes to the Technical Team Members of the senior national team, The Black Stars.

Members of the Technical Bench, including Head Coach Otto Addo and assistants John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda were involved in a road traffic accident on their return from official assignment in Tarkwa where they were in attendance for the Champion of Champions clash between league winners Samartex and FA Cup holders Nsoatreman FC.

The PFAG, as mother body for all professional footballers in the country, wishes to express its relief that any serious injuries were averted in this most unfortunate accident. We are happy to note that all our members are well, hale and hearty as they undergo precautionary medical evaluations.

We wish them rapid recovery, as their health and well-being remain of paramount concern.

The PFAG remains confident that the Technical Team will be in good physical and psychological shape to preside over preparations for the Black Stars’ upcoming AFCON 2025 Qualifying games against Angola and Niger.

As always, the PFAG stands with them and for them!
