The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has sent a message of congratulations to the players and technical teams of Medeama S.C. and Dreams F.C. after both teams won their respective continental duels and secured safe passage through to the next round of competition in their 2023/2024 CAF Inter-Club Competitions.

 

Defending League Champions, Medeama Sporting Club dug deep to defeat Nigerian rivals Remo Sports Club by three goals to two on penalties after both teams were deadlocked on a goal apiece at the end of their two-legged showdown in Ikenne, Nigeria.

 

With this victory, the “Yellow and Mauves” have set up an enticing second round matchup against Guinean side Horoya, as they look to secure a berth in the lucrative group stages of CAF’s foremost club competition.

 

The double dose of domestic delight was completed when Dreams FC staged a remarkable comeback to overcome Milo FC de Kankan at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite an early setback, the reigning FA Cup champions lived up to their mantra of “still believe”, as they scored two decisive late goals to hoist themselves into the final round of qualifiers in the CAF Confederations Cup at the expense of their visitors from Guinea.

FC Kallon of Sierra Leone lie in wait for Dreams as they set their sights on continental glory this year.
