A powerful delegation of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana paid respect to Christian Atsu at the late footballer’s one-week observance on Saturday at the Adjirigano Astro Turf.
The ex-footballers were led by PFAG president Samuel Osei Kuffour, vice president, Joseph Tetteh Zutah, general secretary Anthony Baffoe, and his deputy, Solomon Torson.
The contingent, clad in an all-black ensemble, included ex-Black Stars captains Stephen Appiah, John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan.
Also, Sulley Muntari, Derek Boateng, Kwadwo Asamoah, Prince Tagoe, Haminu Draman, Sam Johnson John Paintsil, Sam Johnson, and Agyemang Badu were among the long list of former football stars who thronged the occasion.
Their arrival drew attention from fans and sympathisers at the solemn gathering as they paid respect to the bereaved family.

The ex-footballers welcomed delegates from the Ghana Football Association and other football lovers.
The PFAG displayed a beautiful banner to show their respect and commiserate with the family of Christian Atsu.
Members of the PFAG proceeded to have a private meeting on how to prepare for Atsu’s funeral and form a stronger bond among the members.
As the mother body of all professional footballers in Ghana, the PFAG is expected to grace the final funeral rites of the late Atsu, which has been slated for Friday, March 17, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.
