The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has extended its well wishes to all members of the newly constituted technical bench of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
The Ghana Football Association earlier this week reappointed Coach Milovan Rajevac as the new head coach of the Black Stars on a provisional one-year contract. The Serbian is to be ably assisted by Otto Addo and Maxwell Konadu, with Richard Kingson named as Goalkeeper’s coach.
As mother body of all professional footballers in the country, it remains the firm hope and belief of the PFAG that the Black Stars will once again attain the great heights expected. We wish the new technical team well in their quest to lead the Black Stars to the Qatar 2022 World Cup and also to deliver the AFCON 2021 diadem. Special mention also goes to ex-coach C.K. Akonnor and his team for their best efforts while at the helm of affairs.
In a related development, the PFAG wishes to encourage the Black Stars ahead of their impending FIFA World Cup Qualifying Group G showdown with the Warriors of Zimbabwe. The two sides lock horns at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday October 9th and meet again three days later in Harare.
The Black Stars currently trail log leaders South Africa by a point after the first two matchdays in the qualification series. The PFAG retains its confidence in the ability of our gallant Stars to rise to the challenge and secure the maximum points on offer.
As always, the PFAG stands with them and for them!
