The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has expressed its excitement at the impending grand kick-off to the 2020/2021 Ghana football season.
After a ten-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association feels deeply exhilarated at the prospect of seeing our members once again take to the various pitches throughout the country to display their talents and to thrill all football loving Ghanaians.
The PFAG has noted with great satisfaction, the on-going commitment by all stakeholders to ensure that infection prevention measures are at the forefront of all activities related to the recommencement of our beautiful game on the domestic front.
As the mother body of all Ghanaian professional footballers, our topmost priority remains the health and safety of the players, coaches, managers, club staff, officials and the wider community. Our thoughts remain with all those affected in one way or another by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we remain committed to doing our bit towards educating our members on the prescribed protocols in our collective fight against this worldwide malady.
We welcome the current interventions put in place by Government, the GFA and all other key stakeholders. We believe these are best-intentioned towards stemming the spread of the virus in the country and that soon enough we shall be in a position to welcome our teeming supporters back into the various stadia.
To the various competing clubs, we wish you all the very best. It is your stage to shine, as the entire Ghanaian football fraternity fixes its attention on you. May the most deserving set of gallant warriors emerge as worthy victors at the end of the season.
With every kick, every goal, and every game, the PFAG is here with you and for you!!
