The Professional Footballers’ Association of Ghana has sent its best wishes to Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey for a rapid recovery after the Ghana international defender suffered a horrendous ankle injury over the weekend.
The Ghanaian stalwart has recently established himself as an ever present in the heart of the Foxes’ defense, and was the toast of most fans for his assured displays this season at either right back or centre back position for the 2016 English Premier League champions.
The ever dependable Amartey suffered the unfortunate ankle injury during Leicester City’s home fixture against West Ham United, as he committed a last ditch tackle late in the game.
He was administered oxygen and was stretchered off with his boot in a supportive cast, and has since had successful surgery.
The PFAG wishes him all the best for a speedy recovery.
Get well soon Amartey; we know you will bounce back even stronger than ever! We remain here with you and for you!!
