The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has this past week received an official visit from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the PFAG Office in Accra.

The meeting met its primary mandate of successfully bringing together the crucial actors in the development of our domestic game to a roundtable for deep seated discussions. Matters delibereated on centred largely on issues of shared interest pertaining to the development of football in the country.
Particular emphasis was placed on such matters as player welfare, the implementation of standardized player contracts, potential collaboration opportunities, player insurance and the key role of the PFAG in helping to maximise support for football on the local scene, development of Ghana football in general and funding for the domestic game.
As mother body of all professional footballers in the country, the PFAG wishes to once again express its commitment to work closely with the GFA on all considerations aimed at promoting the welfare of the players while also seeking innovative means of further developping the sport we all love in the country.
PFAG: with them and for them!
