The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) warmly congratulates our distinguished member and former Ghana international, Godwin Attram, on his appointment as Assistant Coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attram brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Black Stars technical bench, having excelled as a mercurial midfielder on both domestic and international stages, while also making a mark in recent times as an astute coach and football administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Affectionately nicknamed \u201cPlatini\u201d for his masterful attacking midfield prowess, Attram has over the years etched his name into Ghanaian football folklore having played for the national U-17 team, U-20, U-23, and the senior national team, the Black Stars. In total, he scored 12 goals for Ghana after making his debut for the U-17 team in 1997.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In club football, Attram started with Great Olympics in 1994 and scored 17 goals in 32 games before moving to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands from 1996 to 1999. He has also played in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Oman, and in the Danish SuperLiga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In recent times, Attram, has founded and coached the Attram De Visser Football Club which made history by securing a semi-final berth in last season\u2019s MTN FA Cup competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mother body for all Ghanaian footballers, the PFAG hails this well-deserved appointment and deems it an apt reflection of the dedication and extensive experience possessed by Attram whose impressive transition from an accomplished professional footballer to a respected coach and mentor is sure to strengthen the technical structure of the Black Stars as attention shifts to the AFCON 2027 Qualifiers in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
