On the 25th of May each year, the global football community commemorates World Football Day; a landmark occasion dedicated to celebrating football\u2019s far-reaching contribution to sustainable development,
peace, human rights, and social inclusivity.
The observance of World Football Day dates back to the first-ever international football
tournament held during the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, where teams from across
the world came together in the spirit of competition, unity, and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That historic moment laid the foundation for what has become the world\u2019s most beloved and influential sport, inspiring generations and transcending borders and cultural backgrounds.
In Ghana, the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) continues to
champion the transformative power of football through its numerous advocacy ventures, player welfare, and impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives. As the mother body for professional footballers in Ghana, PFAG remains committed to protecting the rights and well-being of our players while promoting the values of solidarity, respect, equality, and social inclusivity in Ghana.
