Former Ghana Black Queens skipper, Adjoa Bayor has been appointed as the GFA\u2019s National Coordinator for the country\u2019s four female national teams.<\/p>\n

Bayor, who was adjudged African Women\u2019s Footballer of the Year in 2003 has over the years been a strong member of the Professional Footballers\u2019 Association of Ghana (PFAG) and has been instrumental in helping the Association to champion issues pertaining to women\u2019s football on the domestic scene.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bayor\u2019s stock rose when she excelled as lead striker for the Black Queens as they qualified for and impressed at the 1999 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup in the USA.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Undoubtedly one of Africa’s finest female footballers, she has over the years garnered rich experience in the women\u2019s game from her playing days for GHATEL Ladies locally and her successful stints playing abroad.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In her new role, she is to work under direction from the GFA Deputy General Secretary, Alex Asante, as they look to facilitate training programmes, and ensure efficient preparation for competitions for the various female national teams, among other detailed activities.<\/p>\n

The PFAG salutes Adjoa Bayor on this notable appointment, and is confident that even brighter days are on the horizon for women\u2019s football here in Ghana.<\/p>\n
