The PFAG has welcomed the Italian Football Federation\u2019s decision to rescind the one match ban originally imposed on Ghanaian footballer Sulley Muntari.<\/p>\n
The Association\u2019s stance echoes that of its mother body, FIFPro, which recently released a press statement in support of the former Black Stars stalwart.<\/p>\n
Muntari received two yellow cards during Pescara\u2019s league game away at Cagliari after he unsuccessfully sought help from the referee over racist abuse from a section of the home support.<\/p>\n
The PFAG, led by its General Secretary, Anthony Baffoe, believes there must be no place for fanatical fans who continue to smear our beautiful game with such unsavory racist acts.<\/p>\n
The incident comes barely a couple of years after then A.C. Milan and Ghana international midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng\u2019s decision to walk off the pitch when pelted with monkey chants during his side\u2019s friendly encounter with Pro Patria.<\/p>\n
