PFAG ENCOURAGES THE GHANA BLACK STARLETS

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) sends a message of encouragement to the entire playing body and management team of the Ghana Black Starlets for their participation at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, India 2017.
Despite a promising campaign, the Starlets were unable to advance beyond the quarter final stage of the competition, after a 2-1 defeat by current African juvenile champions, Mali.
Ghana, who emerged top of their preliminary group, were visibly hampered by the poor playing conditions at the rain soaked Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.
Strikes from Hadji Drame and Djemoussa Traore, rendered Kudus Mohammed’s penalty a mere consolation in the keenly contested battle of the two West-African powerhouses in India.
The PFAG encourages the team not to view the result as the end of the road, but rather to see this as just the start of their bright football careers.
We believe that the priceless lessons learnt during this tournament will only spur these young gallant warriors on to greater laurels in the future.
The PFAG will always remain here with you and for you, through it all.
